The School of Pre-Degree, Federal University Gusau, Zamfara was founded in the Year 2013. The first set of the University’s graduate are the Pioneers of Pre-degree School. The name of the school was changed from School of Pre-Science to School of Pre-Degree studies due to the introduction of Arts and Social Sciences in 2016/2017.In every Session the School runs for a period of two (2) semesters. The School is headed by the Director (Dr. Nasiru Alhaji Sani). Some of the principal officers of the School includes; Administrative Secretary, Examination Officer and Accountant. The school runs three (3) programmes; Science, Social Science and Arts. A Board was also constituted by the University management to enable smooth running of the School. The Board is headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor.

- To prepare students for UTME and enable them gain direct admission into the undergraduate programme.
- To prepare students to remedy their ‘o’ level deficiencies.
