This is to inform all members of staff that appraisal form for academic staff, senior Non-teaching staff and junior staff have now been distributed to the various faculties, Departments and units for staff to collect and complete them accordingly.
Members of staff are being reminded that appraisal exercise is an annual event and it is mandatory for all members of staff whether expecting promotion or not to fill the requisite appraisal and promotion forms appropriately.
Below is the schedule of event for the 2019/2020 Appraisal Exercise for compliance by all staff.

|2||21/09/2020- 25/09/2020 (5 Days)||Return of completed Appraisal form by staff to head of Department/unit|
|3||29/09/2020- 02/10/2020 (5 Days)||Return of completed Academic Appraisal forms by head of departments to deans and directors and also Non-teaching staff Appraisal forms to the registrar through the deputy registrar establishment division.|
|4||05/10/2020- 09/10/2020 (one week)|
I. Commencement of faculty Appraisal Exercese for academic staff and Appraisal panel for senior Non-teaching and junior staff
II. Processing of summary of department submissions.
|5||14/10/2020- 16/10/2020 (3 Days)||Return of all Appraisal reports to Registrar through the deputy Registrar Establishment Division.|
Head of Department and other reporting are to:
I. Be guided by the criteria for promotion;
II. Ensure that all staff in their Department are captured in the summaries including those on sabbatical, leave of absence or study leave etc.
III. Ensure that completed appraisal forms are submitted along with photocopies of credentials and last payslip; and
IV. Submit summaries of appraisal reports in both hard and soft copies (in accordance with the sample attached) to the Registrar through the Deputy Registrar Establishment.
NB: please use the new appraisal form as some adjustment have been effected.
